New Year Bingo Cards: How it’s Going

At the beginning of the year, we brought together our girlies to talk about our goals for 2025 over brunch and mimosas (of course). Like many, we did away with the classic resolutions and instead opted for a Bingo card format in which you place each goal for the year in a square and do your best to get five in a row or even a full card! Somehow it is already March so we thought we would check in on our Bingo cards and see how it’s going…

What have you accomplished so far?

Nicole: At the beginning of this year I actually sat down and did a deep dive ahead of making my card, reviewing different categories of my life including Health, Relationships, Finance, Career, Environment and Professional Growth and reviewed how 2024 went and where I wanted to improve. I wanted this bingo card to be accurate to everything I want to accomplish and I think I’ve made good progress! A lot of my goals are repeated weekly or monthly so I’ve been prioritizing being consistent with things like movement and exercise, meal planning and my capsule wardrobe challenge. I’m hopeful that I can keep up the work and fully check these off at the end of the year while building some sustainable habits!

Steph: I did not nearly put as much thought into planning my goals as Nicole did but I’ve been loving the bingo card format so far. I’ve put it by the desk in my home office, so I have eyes on it every day to ensure my 2025 goals stay top of mind. While I do have a lot of goals that are daily, weekly and monthly, there have been a couple of squares I’ve been able to cross off completely so far. These goals are taking a pottery class and going to visit my friend Sara in London. While the trip isn’t until the end of April, flights and Airbnbs are booked, so it’s happening! I couldn’t be more excited to be already completing my goals for the year.

What's in progress?

N: I definitely had some lofty goals on my bingo card that take a significant amount of time to complete, like finishing 3 courses I’ve had on the back burner for years or reading 26 books. However, I find nudging these bigger goals along as much as I can each day really shows progress. I am happy to report that I’ve already read 4 books this year, and though I know that is a small number for many that’s a huge deal for someone who would usually read that many in a year (or less). All to say it is all on its way and even on days where I’m not moving something forward I’m doing my best to give myself kindness. Progress, not perfection!

S: I have many goals for 2025 that fall into daily, weekly and monthly categories, so there’s a lot in progress currently. So far, I’ve kept up with reading one book per month, two Monday Girl networking events per month and cooking one new recipe a month. I’ve been consistent with my weekly goal of a minimum of one pilates class a week (although I have been hitting classes 1-3 per week). This is one that I’ve been enjoying so much, it’s really become my me time. One of my daily goals is prioritizing my skincare. For me this has meant finding a new skincare routine, trying new products, doing a weekly mask and generally making sure I’m taking care of my skin every day.

What are you most excited to accomplish next?

N: I have a lot of major goals in my career and finance section that (though I don’t have the most control over, welcome to contract work and entrepreneur life) I am really excited to continue to pursue opportunities that inspire me and grow my businesses this year and keep making a career that I am proud of!

S: Next up, I’m excited to nail down my goal of building a new morning and nighttime routine. 2024 brought a lot of change to my living space, moving into a house with my partner and with that came a lot of adjustments. So naturally, I’m working hard to find consistency as I start my day and finish it.
