Brunch With Your Girls

I love to have a brunch with my girls before the holidays get into full swing and our calendars are filled with family time. I always have the most fun dressing to meet friends, so for this brunch look I paired wide leg denim with a cream mock neck longsleeve knit and juxtaposed the knit with a blue silk cami. I added a little edge with these cream snake textured lug sole boots.

Date Night Under the Mistletoe

Does anyone else find December to be a month that feeds the inner romantic? Maybe it’s the eggnog or maybe it’s just the fun of finding the perfect gift for that special someone. When dressing for a date night with your love, look for rich jewel tones and texture play. In this look I paired a silk wrap top over a black camisole and balanced the sensual nature of silk with a coated denim to add a look of leather for visual interest. Finishing the look with a touch of drama in the shoe, this look sets you up as you wait under the mistletoe.

Shmoosing and Socialising with Colleagues

Ah, the company holiday party! A look for this special occasion can be a delicate balance, depending where you work. With an office soiree in mind, you want to strike a balance between professional and relaxed, while still showcasing your personal style. I chose to combine a navy silk slip dress with a plaid wool blazer, picking out the taupe colour in the plaid with this snake textured bag for a hint of additional texture and fun.

A Feast with Family

A holiday is nothing without a delicious family feast! When dressing for a family dinner comfort is at top of mind while also looking put together for the occasion. By combining wide leg black pants with a festive bow sweater I successfully check these boxes, finishing the look with an classic pop of red for the holiday season.

Gift Wrapping Chic

Gift wrapping has always been one of my favourite tasks during the holidays, much more than baking! When I think about gift wrapping my mind goes to wrapping paper sprawled out on the kitchen floor and balancing holding the roll of paper while trying to cut the perfect amount to cover the gift you spent so much time picking out. With this in mind comfort is key so boyfriend jeans are always a great choice. When thinking about bringing a level of chic to any look I always look to layering, pairing a thin black turtle neck sweater under an open denim shirt with silver jewlery pieces. There is nothing better than simple pieces that come together, elevating your look while executing holiday tasks.

Apres Ski

After ski calls for all things cute and cozy, starting with a fabulous sweater and jeans. Once you’re warmed up you can peel off your parka, but a cozy togue and scarf are what finish this look making it Apre Ski worthy.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

December 24th has always felt sacred to me, so naturally, picking out an outfit for Christmas eve is always special. A monochromatic pallet is what makes this look feel festive, bringing together a burgundy leather skirt and red paisley blouse, highlighting burgundy accents in the pattern, making this pair a dynamic Christmas Eve duo!

Movie Night Cozy

You can’t have the holidays without copious amounts of movies, from the classics to old cartoons and all the bad hallmark movies in between. Along with popcorn and hot cocoa I recommend a cute lounge set for an elevated feel. The best thing about a set is that you can wear the pieces separately as well as together. I love the colour of this set because the heathered cream feels more elevated than a grey or black.

Skating Under Snowfall

I love a fabulous shaket for skating because it gives you room for layering, while providing enough warmth as you circle around the rink in the cold winter air. Don’t be afraid of colour or print! Underneath the shaket I’ve added texture in a a thick cable knit, what pulling the cream from the jacket with the sweater and blue with the skarf and jeans

Night Caps and Board Games

After a family gathering I love the idea of night caps and a board game with your love. Combine comfort and a sensual feel by pairing a cozy knit with a slip dress underneath.

Gift Giving with Glee

Cute pajamas as you open gifts with those you love most is always a must in my books. I’m a fan of a classic plaid and adding a layer of warmth with a whimsical holiday sweater. Finish the look with your favourite slippers!

Counting Down to 2023

New Years Eve always needs to have a touch of sparkle or maybe even a lot of sparkle! Rather than going for a typically sequin dress, I’ve paired a sequin boustier top with a green silk pleated skirt that picks up a subtle teal sparkle in the top. No NYE look is complete withough fabulous accessories. Rather than going for necklaces I’ve left the neckline open and added some interest with an eye catching ear stack.
